The purpose of this fund is to provide financial support for recreational opportunities for Charlotte County youth. Financial assistance is to be provided to youth (age 18 or under) residing in Charlotte County for participation in any sport or recreational activity. The Bob Flewelling Sports for Kids Fund and the Mike Kohler Sports for Kids Fund are named funds within.
“My Dad loved sports, and he loved children. I established the Bob Flewelling Sports for Kids Fund so that money could be given each year to help kids who otherwise might not be able to afford to participate in sports and other recreational activities. I started this fund with $250 and since then it has grown from gifts given by others. Dad would be so pleased to see the children benefit from the fund.”
