DOROTHY AND KENNETH LANGMAID ANIMAL WELFARE FUND (2001)

“This fund has been on our minds for many years. We both have a great love of animals and have looked after stray and injured animals for many years. Dorothy spent a great deal of time confined to bed and had plenty of cats and dogs to keep her company and take care of her. She first joined the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (A.S.P.C.A) when she was in grade two and after she was again well she worked with animals and for their welfare. In 1979 she was made an Honorary Life Member of the Fredericton S.P.C.A. in appreciation for her work. We hope that this fund will help those who will be working with animals in the future by giving a small sense of stability to the cause and hopefully encouraging others to contribute to the welfare of animals in the future. “ K.
