MARGARET RAYMONDE PETERSON MEMORIAL FUND (2014)

Margaret Raymond “Ray” Peterson (d. January 2014) was born in Gatehouse of Fleet, Scotland, to Quebecois parents. Raised in Canada, she attended Carleton University, receiving her Master’s Degree in Biology, and later went on to earn her Law Degree from the University of New Brunswick. Ray lived in St. Andrews most of her life and was actively involved in the community, serving as mayor for a term and acting as a director for Fundy Community Foundation and Sunbury Shores Arts and Nature Centre. This community fund, established by her husband, Richard, and built by donations received by the Foundation in her memory after her death, will continue to give back to the community, perpetually and in her memory.
