REDMOND TRUST FUND (1996)

In 1937, Mr. Rene Redmond, who always wanted to farm, sold his Montreal insurance business and took a six month course in agriculture at McGill University. He moved with his wife, the Honorable Mrs. Redmond, to St. Andrews in 1938. They lived on the corner of King and Montague Streets, and bought what is now Bantry Bay Farm. There they developed one of the finest jersey herds in eastern Canada. Their daughter, Mrs. N.T. Mais, established this fund in their memory.
