This fund was established in loving memory of Richard J. Ford, BA, BEd (1948-1997) by his family and friends. Its purpose is to give assistance to a Fundy High School graduate pursuing a degree in the sciences, with consideration being given to academic excellence as well as financial need. Richard taught sciences, specifically biology, in St. George for almost 22 years. He was very proud of Fundy High School and gave his best to his students, challenging them to attain their best in return. He was a man of deep personal faith and active in his church. In addition, his varied interests included: choral singing with the Run of the Mill Singers, fishing, darts, photography, community ambulance service, traveling and camping. A loving husband and father of three, he lived life to the fullest, respecting the dignity of all persons and ever fascinated with the wonders of nature.
