Stolt Sea Farm, established in 1985, began the first commercial smolt production for the then fledgling salmon aquaculture industry in Charlotte County. It now grows various species of fish around the world, and locally has branched into sea cage culture and fish processing. Stolt Sea Farm believes in putting philanthropic dollars back into the community in a way that has lasting benefit. In 1996, this company responded to a challenge to contribute to an endowment fund to support the operations of the FCF.
